Exam Results Day.

Jumping for Joy.

It’s that time of the year again, the culmination of years of education and hard work…exam results day!

Over the last two weeks I have been at a top Midlands school photographing students opening their A level and GCSE results.

My brief was to record the emotions of the morning in a natural reportage style of photography as well as taking a few more staged pictures for the local press. I documented the laughter, excitement, shock, a few tears but mostly celebrations.

Of course no exam results day photo shoot would be complete without the ubiquitous ‘jumping for joy’ picture, despite no students ever having done this without being asked to by a photographer, it has become the symbolic image representing exam results day.
