Birmingham Photographer – New Years Eve 2020

Watching the Sun Set on 2020
Happy New Year everyone!
I was lucky enough to spend my New Years Eve watching the sun set on 2020 from the top of the Rotunda in Birmingham city centre.
I was photographing visual artist Yvette Mattern’s ‘Global Rainbow’, a rainbow of lasers projected across the city which could be seen up to 10km away. The spectacular installation marked a message of hope and peace for the New Year.
After capturing some amazing images from the roof of the Rotunda I ventured out in to the city to photograph some of the cities landmarks in the shadow of the rainbow.
The #BrumRainbow was organised and presented by the Birmingham Hippodrome as part of Global Streets, a national project funded through Arts Council England’s National Lottery Project Grants.
