2023 Review of the Year
2023 The Year in Pictures.
A photographic review of the year by Birmingham based freelance photographer Simon Hadley.
This year instead of the usual single huge montage featuring my pictures of the year I have spread my favourite images over 5 collections illustrating the areas that I mostly cover: Arts & Theatre, Education, Conferences, Architecture & Buildings and PR & Editorial Photography.
My personal favourite picture of the year (main picture) was taken at a primary school in Walsall as part of a series of photo shoots for the organisation Learning through Landscape’s ‘My School My Planet’ project. The young lad was keen for me to capture him with his find and the girls were genuinely shocked and excited to see the earthworm he had found, a great combination of composition and expressions perfectly illustrating what the project was all about.
