A Power Trip.
Last week I went on a Welsh road trip photographing sites and facilities throughout South Wales for a Midlands based power company.
At short notice the company needed high quality photography showing interior and exteriors of the sites, detail of the generators and machinery, as well as technicians and engineers at work and they needed to have the pictures taken and on their desks within 48 hours of the commission.
Fortunately I had just had a cancellation which left me with a free day and after a very early start, weather that saw sun, snow, showers and gales all in one location in a five minute period, I managed to complete the brief and deliver the images on time.
I now know so much more about engines, generators, electricity and the Welsh Valleys thanks to the amazingly helpful engineers on site who were all more than happy to pose as models for my pictures… I don’t think they get many visitors up in Aberdare!
