Theatre Photographer | RSC Photo Shoot in Skegness

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside….
News from Birmingham based freelance photographer Simon Hadley.
I spent a pleasant day at the seaside (Skegness) last week, shooting some stock images for the Royal Shakespeare Company prior to their launch announcement of a new partnership with 5 towns in disadvantaged areas of the UK.
The new partnership with the RSC is aimed at raising the aspirations of young people and having a positive impact on their learning, employment opportunities and wellbeing. The five towns are Skegness, Corby, Coventry, Hartlepool, and Peterborough.
Out of the 5 towns Skegness was the one that offered us the chance to photograph, sandcastles, ice creams and chips on the beach.
The biggest challenge of the day was stopping the red polystyrene RSC letters blowing away in the brisk North Sea breeze. Holidaymakers watching us from the pier found it all highly amusing!
