Flashback to the Bank Holiday weekend and a selection of my images from Birmingham Weekender 2024.

The annual Birmingham Weekender arts festival brought huge crowds into the city centre to enjoy the sounds, sights, colour and foam (lots of foam!)

Visitors were treated to a wide variety of entertainment including the CBSO performing in the Bullring, flash mob dancers in Grand Central Station, a roaming dinosaur with Dinotopia, pop up poetry, Blanko the human canvas as well as the super popular and quite literally immersive ‘Island of Foam’

This years festival also featured for the first time Hippodrome Live! In Hippodrome Square, with performances from top West End shows including Disney’s Aladdin, Six, Tina – The Tina Turner Musical and Peaky Blinders from Rambert

Birmingham Weekender 2024 was produced by Birmingham Hippodrome in partnership with Bullring Birmingham with funding through HM Government’s and West Midlands Combined Authority’s Commonwealth Games Legacy Fund and Arts Council England
