Sing UK  ‘The Armed Man’

Over the last few weeks I been have travelling up and down the country photographing rehearsals for an exciting project involving young choirs from all over the UK and Europe.

Worcestershire based Sing UK are organising a special concert at The Royal Albert Hall later this year to mark the 100th Anniversary of the First World War.

The Centenary Chorus will feature 600 singers performing ‘The Armed Man’ by Karl Jenkins, with the Philharmonia Orchestra at the prestigious London venue in September.

I have been attending and photographing the workshops/ rehearsal’s held by Sing UK musical director and conductor Malcolm Goldring. Even at this very early stage in rehearsals the choirs are sounding very impressive..although the big test will be when they all get together and sing for the first time..which isn’t going to be until the day of the concert!
