Portrait Photography

Stars of the Future.

I am regularly commissioned to provide portrait photography on location with my portable professional studio.

Usually this is for corporate clients and takes place in offices and boardrooms across the city.

Throughout September I have been busy with my lights and backdrops on a slightly different commission. Working with a colleague who specialises in actor headshot photography in London I have been providing ‘Casting Call/ Spotlight’ portraits for hundreds of youngsters signed up with a top talent agency.

We took over the drama department of a local school and ran our two portable studios simultaneosly in neighbouring rooms. The agency’s requirements were for clean, consistent portraits against a mid grey background. We also needed to capture the personalities of our subjects running a range of emotions from serious and thoughtful to laughing and smiling. As well as the head and shoulders we also shot 3/4 length portraits with a few different poses (I had one young actor doing head stands!) as well as some sibling and family groups.

Hard work over a couple of weekends resulting in great sets of pictures… and who knows where these first portraits may lead for some of the aspiring young actors who passed before my lens.
