200 Words about 10,000 Pictures

A look back at 2024 from Birmingham photographer Simon Hadley.

That’s a wrap for 2024…….conferences, corporate events, pr shoots, photo calls, magazine features, marketing photography, property photography, portraits, pantomimes and theatre productions, thousands of faces and places have passed in front of my lens in 2024.

How many pictures did I actually take in 2024? After a quick calculation on the back of an envelope I have an answer…I undertook approximately 200 commissions, roughly I work that out to be about 150000-200000 pictures taken, then edited down to around about 10000 final pictures which were supplied to clients…..my round up montage features just 25 pictures, a couple from each month of the year, as you can imagine it could have been a lot bigger!!
