News from Birmingham Conference Photographer Simon Hadley.

My 2025 conference photography season well and truly kicked off this week with the high profile NFU (National Farmers Union) Annual Conference.

In a change from the usual Birmingham location and 2 day format, this year’s conference was at the QEII Conference Centre in Westminster, Central London and took place over one long and busy day.

As official photographer I was based in the main conference hall capturing the keynote speakers, panels, delegates, the colour and the detail and uploading the images ‘live’ for the NFU’s website, print and social media.

Feelings were running high this year as a result of the ongoing inheritance tax row and the Environment Secretary, Steve Reed MP, received a frosty reception contending with protestors interrupting his speech as well as loud (but polite) murmurs of discontent from the audience.

This was the fourteenth consecutive year that I have been commissioned to cover the conference. Already looking forward to NFU Conference number fifteen in Birmingham next year!!
